Weather Situation
A high pressure system in the Bight extends a ridge over Bass Strait. This ridge will direct a cool southerly airstream over the coastal waters today. The flow turns easterly on Saturday and northeasterly on Sunday as the high passes south of Victoria into the Tasman Sea. A hot northerly airstream then dominates early next week as the high in the Tasman Sea extends a persistent ridge west over Bass Strait.
