Weather Situation

A high pressure system lies over the Tasman Sea as a trough extends into western Bass Strait. The trough is expected move eastwards this evening and cross Victoria overnight into Monday as the high moves away to the east. The next high pressure system moves across the Bight and extends a ridge across western coastal waters on Monday, then moves over Tasmania on Tuesday and eastward over the Tasman Sea by the end of Wednesday. Another trough extends towards western coastal waters from the north on Thursday.
