- Weather Situation
- A large high pressure system to the southwest of Tasmania is cradling a low pressure system to the west of Victoria, resulting in a light easterly airstream across Victorian coastal waters. The high is forecast to cross to the south of Tasmania on Tuesday as a trough associated with the low approaches western Bass Strait. The trough is forecast to slowly cross Bass Strait on Wednesday as another high crosses waters south of the Bight. The high is expected to be located near western Bass Strait by Thursday night before winds tend northerly on Friday as the high moves over the Tasman Sea.
