- A ridge of high pressure over northern parts of the State will remain throughout the weekend as a cold front passes well to the south in a broad westerly flow. The ridge will weaken and move over the Tasman Sea on Monday and a low pressure system and associated trough will approach from the west, moving quickly over the north of the State on Tuesday and out of the Tasman on Wednesday.
