Weather Situation

A high pressure system over the Bight extends a ridge east over Bass Strait. A cold front is forecast to cross western coastal waters late Sunday afternoon, central coastal waters late evening and clear Bass Strait by early Monday morning. The high is then forecast to slowly move east over southern Victoria and Bass Strait by late Tuesday and into the Tasman Sea by late Wednesday. Next front then approaches from the west to cross Bass Strait late Thursday and early Friday.
