- A broad high pressure ridge extends over eastern coastal waters and an inland trough extends over western and central coastal waters to direct an easterly flow. The easterly flow will turn more northerly during Monday and northwesterly on Tuesday ahead of a front and trough crossing Bass Strait during Tuesday. A south to southeasterly flow then returns Wednesday as another ridge builds east over Bass Strait.
