A high pressure system in the Bight extends a ridge over southern Victoria. The ridge will drift south over Tasmania during Thursday before the high moves into the Tasman Sea early Friday. A trough crosses Bass Strait during Saturday morning as a low pressure system moves southeastwards over NSW. The low may deepen in the western Tasman Sea early Sunday.
