Weather Situation
A high pressure system lies south of the Bight and extends a ridge east over Bass Strait directing a southerly flow over coastal waters until Friday. Flow turns easterly on Saturday and northeasterly on Sunday as the high passes over Tasmania and moves into the Tasman Sea. A northerly flow then remains early next week as the high in the Tasman Sea extends a persistent broad ridge west over Bass Strait.
