Weather Situation
A high pressure system near New Zealand is directing an easterly airstream over Victorian coastal waters as it extends a ridge over the NSW coast. This pattern is expected to continue until Friday when a weak low pressure trough crosses Victoria and Bass Strait. Another trough and associated low pressure system is expected to approach from the west on Saturday before crossing Victoria and Bass Strait on Sunday.
