A high pressure centre has established over the Tasman Sea, directing a warmer north to northeasterly airstream over Tasmania. The airstream tends more northwesterly later on Saturday as a trough approaches from the west, crossing early Sunday. The trough lingers to the northeast during Monday, as a high pressure system over the Bight extends a ridge to the south of Tasmania, directing a southerly airstream over the state.
