A high pressure system is situated to the east of Tasmania and a low is to the west of Tasmania, with an associated cold front to cross the state in the evening. Another high pressure system is expected to move to the north of Tasmania on Thursday evening and lie to the northeast during Friday and Saturday. A more significant cold front will cross the state Sunday bringing cool conditions in its wake.
