A high pressure centre over the Tasman Sea direct a hot north to northwesterly airstream over Tasmania as a cold front approaches from the west. The cold front will cross Tasmania during today, bringing a much cooler southwesterly airstream to the state. A high then moves over the Bight on Wednesday and extends a ridge over Tasmania, with the high moving to the east early Thursday. A cold front then approaches from the southwest during Friday, crossing later in the day.
