Weather Situation
A cold front crosses Tasmania early today, bringing a cool and gusty westerly airstream to the state. The airstream becomes strong as a low pressure centre passes close to the south this morning. A ridge lying across the southern mainland will then maintain a west to northwesterly flow over the state for the period, with an embedded cold front to to cross early Saturday, and another later Monday.
