A high pressure ridge in combination with a deep low pressure system in the Tasman Sea is driving broadly east to southeasterly flow across coastal waters. This ridge will weaken into Wednesday as a weak front skims southern coasts late Wednesday night into Thursday morning. A new weak ridge will form through Thursday before it is cleared out by a strong cold front entering western waters Friday evening.
