Weather Situation

A weak ridge lies over the southern waters, while a tropical low moving offshore of the Mackay coast is strengthening winds to its south. The low will continue moving southeast over coming days. A trough will approach inland southeast Queensland from the west early next week, increasing the northerly airflow over the southern waters, before a fresh to strong southerly change extends across southern waters on Tuesday.
