- A weak ridge will persist over the South Queensland Waters for the next few days along with a freshening northerly airflow. A trough moving east across inland southern Queensland may start to move over the far southeastern waters late Friday or early Saturday. A weak southeasterly change may move briefly over waters south of Cape Moreton on Thursday, ahead of a fresh to strong southeasterly change on Friday. The southeasterly change will extend northwards and ease during Saturday, possibly reaching Hervey Bay Waters late.
