- Weather Situation
- A trough extends off shore from North Tropical Coast with an embedded tropical low near the coast east of Cairns, and another embedded tropical low in the trough over the Coral Sea northeast of the Whitsunday Island. A high [1019 hPa] near New Zealand is maintaining a ridge over the remaining north Queensland waters and combining with the trough and lows to enhance onshore winds along the tropical coast over the next few days. The trough and embedded lows may drift back northward over this weekend and combine with a developing monsoon trough across the far northern Coral Sea.
