Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the southeastern Tasman Sea is extending a ridge towards far northeastern New South Wales maintaining a northeasterly airstream along much of the coast. A cold front and its associated trough are forecast to enter the far south coast later today and cross the rest of the coastal waters through Thursday with strong and gusty southerly winds and large powerful southerly swells in its wake. Strong south to southeasterly winds and hazardous to damaging surf conditions may remain during the later part of the week through the weekend as a low pressure system develops off the Mid North Coast.
