Weather Situation

A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge over the north coast, while a trough about the south coast is weakening. North to northeasterly winds will persist during the weekend ahead a cold front and its associated trough that will enter the far south coast later Sunday. These systems will cross the Sydney Waters early Monday, with a fresh to strong and gusty southerly wind change in its wake. The change will reach the far north coast later Monday, then the southerly winds will gradually ease from Tuesday onward as a new high pressure system enters the Tasman Sea and extend a ridge along the coast.
