Weather Situation

A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge towards the north coast, bringing fresh north to northeasterly winds to Sydney Waters this afternoon, ahead of a fresh and gusty southerly change that is expected to arrive Sydney Waters later this evening. The system will continue heading to the north coast on Tuesday and stall, while another high pressure system over the Bight will drift across Tasmania. Then, the remnant feature of the change will linger off the northern or central parts of the coast through the midweek, while the high will enter the southern Tasman Sea and extend a ridge to the south coast.
