Weather Situation
A high pressure system with a ridge over the Tasman Sea extends into northeastern New South Wales, directing a northeasterly airstream along the coast, while a cold front is passing to the south of the state. A trough associated with the front is moving through the southern half of the coast with a southerly wind change in its wake. The trough is expected to be stagnant near the coast while deepening early in the new week, maintaining onshore easterly winds along the coast.
