A fresh to strong southerly change is extending to the northern half of the coast today, as a low pressure trough moves across the region. Moderate to fresh south to southeasterly winds will then be maintained along the coast through to start of the long weekend as a deep low pressure system moves south over the Tasman Sea, combining with a ridge extending along the coast from a high over the southern Tasman Sea.
