Weather Situation

A ridge of high pressure extends across the state while a deep low pressure system lies over the southeastern Tasman Sea, bringing powerful swells to coastal waters. A cold front and associated trough move across southern water during Monday driving a southerly change and unsettled conditions before forming a new low pressure system over the Tasman Sea, remaining to early Wednesday before it is expected to be driven away from the coast by a weak high pressure ridge mid week.
