- A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea currently extends a ridge to northeast New South Wales, and is directing east to northeasterly winds over most coastal areas. A trough will move from the south over central parts of the coast this morning and bring a southerly change, before stalling and weakening near Seal Rocks. During Tuesday a new high is forecast to move from the Bight to the Tasman Sea and extend a ridge over eastern New South Wales, bringing a return to east to northeasterly winds by Wednesday. The next trough and southerly change look set to reach southern areas on Friday.
