Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea currently extends a ridge into northeastern New South Wales, directing a northeasterly airstream along the far northern coast, while a coastal trough brings showers and thunderstorms to the mid north coastal fringe. The trough will slowly decay through today as it shifts further north. Another trough and southerly change are forecast to affect the southern half of the coast on the weekend.
