- A trough of low pressure lies across the northern inland to Mid North Coast, with fresh south to southeasterly winds to its south. The trough is forecast to deepen to a low pressure system off Mid North Coast during today before weakening later in the week, while a high pressure system over the Bight drifting to southern Tasman Sea extends a ridge to the southeast. Then, winds will turn northeasterly later in the week through the weekend as another trough develops over the state's far west and deepen while a ridge extends across the east.
