Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the southern Tasman Sea and a trough over eastern NSW is generating strong northeasterly winds on the northern coastal fringe. This afternoon a low pressure system within the trough is forecast to deepen over the southern coast, bringing vigorous south to southeasterly winds and large waves to the southern and central coastal waters. This system is expected to gradually move east in the coming days.
