- Tropical Cyclone Alfred [980hPa] is moving slowly towards the southeast coast and is generating severe coastal hazards south of Double Island Point. Tropical Cyclone Alfred is likely to cross the coast tonight or during Saturday morning, before pushing further inland and weakening over the weekend and dissipating early next week. A ridge will extend over the south Queensland waters from Sunday as a high moves east across the Tasman Sea.
