Weather Situation

The monsoon trough extends across north Queensland, and will linger across the northern Queensland waters for several days, while gradually drifting northward during the first half of next week. A weak tropical low may form within the trough off the northeast tropical coast, which may linger before moving further offshore and away from the east coast tomorrow into Monday. A high [1017 hPa] near New Zealand is maintaining a weak ridge over the remaining northern waters.
