Minor Flood Warning for the Bokhara River
Issued at 1:56 PM EST on Wednesday 2 Apr 2025.
Flood Warning Number: 7
RENEWED MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT HEBEL OVER THE COMING DAYS
Heavy to locally intense rainfall in the past week, particularly around the NSW-QLD border, has resulted in river level rises across the Lower Balonne and Bokhara Rivers, where multiple flood peaks are moving through the catchment. An initial minor flood peak was observed at Hebel overnight Sunday, while further upstream another flood peak is approaching Whyenbah. The flood peak at Whyenbah may cause renewed river level rises along the Bokhara River at Hebel in the coming days.
Showers and the chance of thunderstorms remain possible for the remainder of Wednesday, before conditions clear into the weekend. Additional locally heavy rainfall during the remainder of Wednesday may cause further river level rises.
Lower Balonne and Bokhara Rivers, Balonne River Minor
Renewed minor flooding is possible along the Bokhara River.
