RIVER AND CREEK LEVELS REMAIN ELEVATED THROUGHOUT THE MARY RIVER CATCHMENT WITH CHANCE OF RENEWED RISES INTO THURSDAY
Moderate to heavy rainfall observed across the Mary River catchment last week led to river and creek level rises and minor to major flooding along the Mary River. River levels have now fallen below minor flood levels throughout the catchment with the exception of Teddington Weir, where minor flooding is easing. However, river and creek levels remain elevated throughout the catchment.
Showers and the chance of a thunderstorm are forecast for the remainder of Wednesday and Thursday, which may cause renewed creek and river level rises. At this stage, river levels are expected to remain below minor flood levels, though there is uncertainty in the amount and timing of forecast rainfall. The situation is being closely monitored and this warning will be updated as required.

Flooding has eased below minor flood levels along the Mary River to Gympie but river and creek levels remain elevated throughout the catchment.
Six Mile Creek
Creek levels are now generally easing along Six Mile Creek but remain elevated.
Mary River downstream of Gympie
Flooding has eased below minor flood levels along the Mary River downstream of Gympie but river and creek levels remain elevated throughout the catchment.
Tinana Creek
Creek levels are now generally easing along Tinana Creek but remain elevated. Minor flooding is easing at Teddington Weir.
