Queensland is set for perfect camping weather over the Easter weekend, with dry and sunny conditions forecast.
The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) said an area of high pressure building across eastern Queensland would bring stable conditions to the state.
"[There will be] fairly clear conditions, quite dry, comfortable temperatures with the maximums in those mid-to-high 20s," the bureau's Daniel Hayes said.
"Overnight temperatures [will be] in the low-to-mid teens, starting to edge a little bit closer to the higher teens as we head through to the end of the weekend.
"For folks who might be planning to head out and do a bit of camping, make sure you've got a decent sleeping bag, but [it will be] lovely weather for sitting around a fire."
Mr Hayes said a few showers were forecast around Far North Queensland due to a tropical trough near Papua New Guinea as well as a low.
"We [are keeping] an eye on that system up in the north. It may extend a bit more shower activity and rain maybe across some of the northern parts of the cape," he said.
"If it does move a little bit further south into the gulf area, we might see some increasing showers across parts of the north tropical coast areas."
Beachgoers in south-east Queensland are being warned of hazardous surf due to ex-Tropical Cyclone Tam.
The BOM said a few showers were expected for the south-east towards the end of the week.
"But [we're] not expecting to see much in them, even if they do occur, so hopefully it doesn't interfere with too many people's plans," Mr Hayes said.
Flood warnings remain
The dry weather will be welcome for communities still dealing with flooding.
Major flood warnings remain in place for the Diamantina River, Flinders River, Cooper Creek and Georgina River and Eyre Creek.
Manager of Charlotte Plains campground, near Cunnamulla, Robert Russell said while the flooding was devastating in some parts of the outback, the extra water had made for a beautiful green start to the tourist season.
"We are open again now. The roads are open. You probably won't find a better time to get out here.
"There will be some roadworks and a little bit of water, but people are getting around again."
Mr Russell said it was a great time for tourists to visit, with the warm weather set to encourage the growth of wildflowers across western Queensland.
"You probably won't have a better season for a long time," he said.
