Weather Situation
A high pressure system centred south of the Bight extends a ridge east over Bass Strait directing a southerly flow over the State. The centre of the high will pass over Bass Strait and move into the Tasman Sea during the day today. A cold front approaches from the west on Saturday with flow turning east to northeasterly. The cold front is forecast to cross coastal waters from late Saturday and the Bays mid Sunday. The next high pressure system in the Bight will extend another ridge over Bass Strait behind the front late Sunday maintaining a southerly flow over coastal waters early next week.
