Weather Situation

Light to moderate winds today as a low pressure system over the Tasman Sea continues to head further eastwards. A cold front looks set to approach the far south coast later Tuesday and continue to move northwards, crossing Sydney Waters on Wednesday while weakening to a trough, bringing fresh to strong southerly winds and large powerful waves in its wake. The system will reach southeast Queensland coast later this week and this will be followed by a strong high pressure system drifting across Bass Strait later this week, which will maintain onshore east to southeasterly airstream over Sydney Waters.
