- A trough is lingering over the Hunter coast, bringing southerly winds to its south. During Tuesday, a new high pressure system is forecast to reach the Tasman Sea and extend a ridge across eastern New South Wales. This pattern will generate east to northeasterly winds by Wednesday. The next trough and southerly change look set to reach southern areas on Friday.
