- Partly cloudy. 60% chance of showers.
- Caution
- Large and powerful surf conditions are expected to be hazardous for coastal activities such as crossing bars by boat and rock fishing.
- Weather Situation
- A deep low pressure system to the southeast of the state is bringing vigorous south to southwesterly winds and large waves to the coastal waters. Winds and surf conditions will ease through the midweek as the low gradually moves further southeast and weakens. Another trough over Queensland is forecast to move southwards, extending to northern New South Wales on Wednesday and moves offshore. This will be followed by a series of west to southwesterly changes crossing the coastal waters later in the week.
